Obituary for Anna Rossi

Anna Rossi
Anna Rossi of Medfield passed away peacefully on February 16, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was 94.

Born, raised and educated in Millis, she was the daughter of the late Romolo and Elena (Iafolla) Mezzanotte. She moved with her family to Medfield at age 18 and attended Bridgewater State Teachers College.

Anna began her teaching career in Dover and then taught in the Medfield School system for thirty-three years. She was a recipient of the Medfield Teacher of the Year Award.

Anna loved spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling. She volunteered at the Medfield State Hospital for many years and was a member of the Medfield Historical Society, Hannah Adams Woman's Club and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Anna was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Rossi. She was the dearly loved mother of Lauryn Cole of Medfield, devoted grandmother of Kenneth Cole and his wife Amber of Oklahoma City, OK, Jessica Cole of Norman, OK and Hope Cole of Medfield. She was the loving sister of Janet Mezzanotte of Medfield. She leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother John Mezzanotte and sisters Rose (Mezzanotte) Burr and Elaine Mezzanotte.

Anna's funeral Mass will be celebrated March 6th 10am at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 133 Spring Street (Rt.27), Medfield. Burial will follow at Vine Lake Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday March 5th from 1-4pm at the Roberts Mitchell Funeral Home. 15 Miller Street, Medfield.
