Condolence From: Jeannette F Pierce
Condolence: I have so many memories of Uncle Dave; visiting Rochester as a child when my mom was sick, visits to Hinsdale with the Dave Pierces, and so many family reunions where he shared his gift of music and we danced the night away at Camp Ashmere. I never had a nickname that stuck, but I loved that Uncle Dave always called me Jeannetty. I will miss his smile, kindness and enthusiasm. Rest in Peace Uncle Dave.

Condolence: My dear friend, former boss, mentor supreme, relentlessly cheerful gentleman. I owe David my livelihood and good life because he took a chance on a young and clueless PR professional when he hired me at Pierce Brown Associates. He taught me how to treat every client with the utmost respect, shepherded my growth in advertising and PR, and tried to teach me how to write, though his writing outshone all. I am so sorry he has left us, and send my heart and sympathy to his love Elaine, his three kids, about whom he always boasted with great pride, and his Rochester brother. He will always be with you.

Condolence: Amy,

My sincerest condolences to you and your family.
I have such fond memories of your family while living in Forest Hills. I thought your dad was so interesting and can remember him in red and white stripes playing in the band. I was out sailing with you all a few times on a Sunfish as I reacall. Those were the days! I remember being at your house just after your mom broke her leg skiing and thinking how impressed I was that she was skiing. Hugs to you all at this time.

Condolence: Some of my favorite Pierce Family Reunion memories are centered around Uncle Dave. Our trombone / mandolin duets were a thing of ambitious beauty. Often, we were our only audience, but we had a great time trying to match up these unique instruments. I'll deeply miss the twinkle in Uncle Dave's eye, his wonder humor and his overt enthusiasm for practically everything. -Jim
